AboutTroy Taliancich
The author
Troy Taliancich is a novelist in New Orleans, where he has lived in the same converted cotton mill for twenty-five years. The building is the setting of his novel The Deep End, and New Orleans is where the Sextant Protocol trilogy begins and ends.
His novels are built from records: texts and meeting minutes, Sunday logs, a mother’s notebook of phone calls, a detector’s data stream, a ledger kept by a clerk. Each one asks what a record can prove, and what it can’t. His narrators keep the record, and the books are honest about where the record and memory part ways.
He writes for adult readers and, in The Record series, for young adults. He is at work on The Dog House, the sequel to The Deep End.
